Job description

Applied Technical Services, LLC, is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. The company serves clients across a diverse set of large and stable end markets including manufacturing, power generation, aerospace, medical, and defense. ATS was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Marietta, GA. Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.
Test Engineers at ATS Fort Wayne plan and facilitate customer testing in the laboratory. They work with test technicians to ensure that all customer and standard requirements are met while performing static strength and dynamic fatigue testing on various medical device components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
• Review customer test requirements and prepare testing plans for laboratory
• Work with designer and machinist to create necessary fixtures for laboratory testing
• Setup and conduct mechanical tests on various components and assemblies
• Work with test technicians to document and monitor tests to ensure accurate and timely results
• Perform data analysis and generate test reports for customer deliver
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in an R&D or Quality testing environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hand tool proficiency
• Strong computing skills
• Strong technical writing skills
• Servo-hydraulic load frame experience preferred
• Medical device experience preferred.
• Experience using MTS test control software preferred
• Experience working within an ISO quality management system preferred
