Job description

This position is based onsite in Parsippany, NJ. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

MAIN FUNCTION:

  • Create, validate, implement and maintain PNY's software and hardware test methods
  • Provide test engineering support for all PNY facilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Advanced degree and/or additional technical education is a plus
  • 2+ yearsโ€™ experience in a test engineering environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask, in a fast paced production environment
  • Proficient with operating systems and component test hardware
  • Working knowledge of :
    • Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
    • UNIX/Linux
    • Programming languages a plus
  • Familiar with the operations of memory, video and NAND Flash
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to travel (less than 5%)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Time is split between regular office, lab and production test areas, with ESD procedures to be observed.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Interfaces with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, Operations, suppliers and customers

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Create, validate and implement PNY's production software and hardware test approaches and methodologies
  • Generate product application test reports (ATR) for new product at time of qualification
  • Maintain PNY's manufacturing test platform software and hardware, including the test network
  • Provide technical assistance and training to test lab staff
  • Generate and validate production test software and hardware
  • Perform system administration on all production test platforms at NJ location
  • Coordinate with external agencies to ensure qualification of PNY products
  • Coordinate with customers regarding test issues
  • Assist in other areas, as assigned

COMPENSATION:

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $120,000.00; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
