Job description

Workday Security Lead

We are seeking a Workday Security Lead to serve as the subject matter expert for Workday security, with a primary focus on HCM and related business processes. This is an individual contributor role responsible for defining and advancing Workday security strategy, governance, and execution in close partnership with IT, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders.

The Work Itself:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of Workday security, with a focus on HCM and enterprise data protection.
  • Define and maintain Workday security governance, including roles, domain access, business process security, and access control frameworks.
  • Partner with IT, HR, Finance, Audit, Risk, and Compliance to align security design with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into effective Workday security solutions.
  • Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and audits to identify gaps and support compliance objectives.
  • Support security-related changes tied to new functionality, organizational changes, and process updates.
  • Provide guidance on complex Workday security issues and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and Workday security SME to both business and IT stakeholders.

The Skills You Bring:

  • 7 years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing Workday Security solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Workday security architecture, including domain security policies, role-based security, segmented security, and business process security.
  • Strong understanding of HCM processes, data, and security impacts, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IT controls, security frameworks, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead through expertise and influence in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Workday Pro Security certification.

Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USD An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
