Job Title: Solar Foreman

Job Description

The Solar Foreman oversees day-to-day field operations for commercial rooftop solar installations across multiple projects in the valley. This role leads a crew of 3–4 installers, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a crew of 3–4 solar installers on commercial rooftop projects, providing clear direction and support throughout each workday.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and site plans to guide installation activities and ensure accurate execution of project designs.
  • Coordinate daily tasks, materials, tools, and manpower to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, company policies, and OSHA regulations, promoting a strong safety culture on site.
  • Perform hands-on installation work as needed, including assembling and installing racking systems, mounting solar modules, and installing basic electrical components.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to confirm that installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and performance expectations.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to project managers or supervisors in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, ensuring equipment and materials are stored properly and work areas remain orderly.
  • Adapt to different project locations as needed, supporting various commercial rooftop installations throughout the valley.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial solar construction.
  • Prior experience leading or supervising crews in a field environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on installation experience in solar or construction environments.
