Job Title: Commercial Solar Installer / Solar Laborer

Job Description

This role focuses on commercial rooftop solar projects, including the safe removal and reinstallation of existing solar systems on multi-story buildings. You will work as part of a field crew using hand and power tools to dismantle solar panels and racking, then reinstall and restore the system to full operation while following strict safety and fall protection procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Remove existing solar panels and racking systems from commercial rooftop installations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Reinstall solar panels, racking, and related components after removal, ensuring proper alignment, secure mounting, and system integrity.
  • Work comfortably and safely on a two-story commercial roof, adhering to all fall protection protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform installation, removal, and reinstallation tasks according to project specifications.
  • Follow instructions from site leads to complete commercial rooftop solar projects within defined timelines and quality standards.
  • Inspect work areas, equipment, and tools before and after use to maintain a safe and organized job site.
  • Support solar installers with general labor tasks such as material handling, staging equipment, and site cleanup.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication throughout each phase of the project.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of hands-on solar installation experience, specifically with rooftop systems.
  • Proven experience working as a solar installer or solar laborer on commercial projects.
  • Comfort working on a two-story roof and performing physical labor at heights.
  • Completed fall protection training and ability to apply safety procedures consistently.
  • Experience with SolarEdge systems and components during removal and reinstallation.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools for installation, removal, and general construction tasks.
