About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a team developing mission-critical defense and security systems. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of backend and system-level software applications with a strong focus on network communications and object-oriented software design.
The ideal candidate has a strong Computer Science foundation, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about developing reliable, high-performance software used in real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend software applications using C#
- Develop software that supports network communications and distributed systems
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and support
- Implement robust and maintainable object-oriented software architectures
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system integration challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop mission-critical solutions
- Create technical documentation, test procedures, and software design artifacts
- Support software verification, validation, and system testing activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- 2+ years of relevant software development experience, including internships, co-ops, or professional experience
- Experience developing software using C#
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Knowledge of network communications and network protocols
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances, if applicable

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middleburg Heights, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $45.00/hr.
