The Senior Systems Analyst will support enterprise modernization and analytics initiatives focused on improving organizational performance, data visibility, and operational efficiency. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics and information systems solutions that support strategic decision-making and mission outcomes.

Position Overview

RIVA Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Analyst with expertise in data analytics, enterprise systems, and automation. This role leads the delivery of analytical and consultative services across all phases of program execution, including requirements analysis, software design, testing, implementation, and operational support. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of analytical and consultative services across all phases of program execution, including business requirements analysis, software design, system and performance testing, and implementation.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and software development.
  • Review and evaluate program resources, including budget and schedule considerations.
  • Analyze user needs to define functional requirements and develop solutions for moderately complex to highly complex systems.
  • Apply expertise in information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management, software development methodologies, lifecycle management, and modeling and simulation.
  • Perform functional decomposition to identify required tasks, interdependencies, and resource needs.
  • Facilitate and supervise requirements-gathering sessions and ensure that business, system, and integration requirements align with program objectives.
  • Evaluate alternatives and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks while resolving issues to minimize impacts on project success.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in data analytics, information systems, automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience analyzing and supporting HR systems, data warehouse, and analytics solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data integration concepts.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems such as HRIS, CRM, or data warehouses.
  • Solid understanding of system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or within cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data standards and analytics best practices.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
