Contract Length: 1 Year
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Reporting Analyst/Developer for a one-year contract opportunity. In this role, you will analyze data and reporting needs across various business units and design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions using industry-standard data analytics platforms, reporting tools, and visualization techniques. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with business leaders, engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality, insightful reporting solutions that drive effective business decisions.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and engineers to understand data and reporting requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
  • Gather and document business requirements and convert them into technical data requirements and report specifications.
  • Design and build reporting solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, and tabular reports, tailored to business needs.
  • Develop and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Visual Studio, and Report Builder.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to support reporting initiatives.
  • Review report requests, ensuring alignment to actual business needs and optimizing data usage.
  • Identify and eliminate redundant or unnecessary data points in reports.
  • Validate, reconcile, and debug data across multiple sources, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reports and database queries.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with SSRS, SQL, and Visualization/reporting
  • Proven experience designing and developing reporting solutions in a business environment.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective data and reporting solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely within the Greater Richmond area with occasional onsite presence at minimal notice.
