Job Title: Technical Data Analyst
Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Data Analyst with strong SQL and data analysis expertise to support key financial data initiatives. This role requires leading a team of data analysts and working in an Agile environment. Candidates must be local to VA, DC, or MD and available for full-time onsite work at Freddie Mac.

Position: 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension up to 2 Years) Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of data analysts in delivering technical data solutions

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation

  • Translate non-technical business requirements into technical logic/methodologies

  • Analyze logs and execute Python scripts from the command line

  • Work with Agile teams to define user stories in Jira

  • Coordinate multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines

  • Communicate findings and data insights clearly to diverse stakeholders

Requirement Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in Data Analytics, Data Mining, or Data Science roles

  • Proven team leadership in data analysis (not just collaboration with PMs/Scrum Masters)

  • Proficient in SQL and Python scripting basics

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira for story creation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work with disparate data sources and derive business insights

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Prior experience at Freddie Mac or similar financial institutions preferred
