Job description

As a Phillips 66 Midstream Engineering University New Hire you will participate in training and developmental programs which provide a comprehensive roadmap for early career engineers at Phillips 66. Our focus is to help you gain a more robust understanding of the midstream processes and the energy industry in an environment that embraces collaboration and values your contributions.
Our Midstream operations are focused on three primary areas: crude oil and refined products, natural gas gathering and processing, NGL transportation and fractionation. Midstream owns or leases logistics assets to provide strategic, timely and environmentally safe delivery of crude oil, refined products, natural gas and NGL.
What You'll Do
  • Start Strong: An introduction to company practices, procedures and technical tools, technical training classes, participating in technical networks, and on-the-job training.
  • Network to Learn: New hire engineers learn from internal and external experts and collaborate with more experienced engineers within your business.
  • Make An Impact: Phillips 66 engineers may begin their careers by contributing in these key areas: business or economic analysis, control systems, environmental, equipment reliability and maintenance, process design, operations, and/or projects.

Please note this position requires driving to field sites as necessary. Job assignments will be located in Texas.
Requirements for a Phillips 66 University New Hire:
Required qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science/Corrosion, Metallurgical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field of study
  • Valid drivers license at time of employment
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 to Spring/Summer 2027

Preferred:
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Previous internship with Phillips 66
  • Previous internship or co-op participant in related industry
  • Willing to work in any of our operating location

Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $111,100 - $120,700, dependent on a candidate's degree type and level of education.
