Office Administrative Assistant Intern Opportunity Youth

Department Overview: Commonpoint (Samuel Field YM & YWHA) Adult Workforce Department consists of employment and support programs serving individuals predominantly adults 18 and over and opportunity youth ages 16-24. The department provides access to occupational training, education, resources, and support programs for individuals who are motivated to enter the workforce.

Position Summary: The Office Assistant Intern supports day-to-day administrative operations to ensure an organized and efficient workplace. The intern will gain hands-on experience in clerical tasks, communication, and office management while developing professional and organizational skills in a business or nonprofit setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, or staff in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage general inquiries.

  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.

  • Maintain organized records, documents, and office supplies.

  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and coordinating logistics.

  • Help draft correspondence, memos, or reports as directed.
