YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Casino Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and executing an effective marketing strategy as well as managing the operations and Marketing Department team. The Casino Marketing Manager will develop, implement, and manage operational goals, work cross-functionally to understand marketing needs, drive revenue growth through successful marketing campaigns, and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives to propel growth for the casino inside Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)
  • Manage all stages of event development and implementation for events, including slot and table game tournaments, gift and cash giveaways, tier events, sweepstakes and drawings, promotions and monthly marketing calendar
  • Manage direct marketing and database operations, including mailers, reinvestment matrices, file uploads, mail house and analytics.
  • Ensure a consistent communication strategy across all components of marketing, including but not limited to internal and external advertising, social media, direct mail and online marketing
  • Manage budgets and forecasting activity to support promotions, including evaluation and measurement
  • Schedule, train, supervise staff
  • Coordinate and execute marketing requirements with various internal departments, internal resort partners, external agencies, affiliated promotional sponsors and other areas
  • Work with the Purchasing Department team to ensure all product orders are completed and delivery is scheduled accordingly
  • Work in lock step with communication counterparts on creative process and direction in all marketing related areas, including but not limited to brand, signage, websites, digital & print advertising, and email & collateral
  • Work with internal and external partners, including but not limited to hotel operations, restaurants, casino beverage, retail, nightlife, entertainment, casino operations, casino marketing, etc.
  • Work in lock step with strategic marketing counterparts to leverage and activate strategies to achieve goals in revenue growth via the website, digital advertising and social media
  • Assist with strategy, budget, and development of visual assets and arrange photo and video shoots as needed/appropriate
  • Work with Brand Marketing and agency on the development of all internal brands and ensure all projects are implemented on time and within budget
  • Ensure all advertising for the hotel and owned brands is aligned with brand standards and established guidelines
  • Establish internal controls for all promotions and events
  • Control quantity and inventory of all marketing collateral and verify copies are filed in a comprehensive manner
  • Assist in the production of all property, display, and temporary signage in resort/casino public areas
  • Assist with sponsorship opportunities and activation executions
  • Be the driving force behind all aspects of the guest experience as it relates to, but not limited to entertainment, activations, opening events and weekly programming
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing
  • Ensure Team Members obtain and maintain position-specific licensing
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Enforce all property, corporate and departmental policies and procedures
  • Establish quality standards for the department
  • Maintain and respect confidentiality of marketing programs, guest information and databases
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by Nevada Gaming Control Board
  • Assist with project tracking and monthly analysis. Knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements for promotions and events
  • Ensure department processes meet regulator statues
  • Work closely with internal departments and third-party vendors to create all promotion-related communications and collaterals
  • Negotiate event related contracts and work closely with the Legal Department to ensure timely and accurate contract execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned

MUST HAVE'S
  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to obtain a gaming license and other required certifications
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in the day-to-day operations of a multi-facets event management firm or in the gaming/hospitality industry
  • In lieu of the above, a minimum three years' event planning and executions experience or five years of supervisory experience in a high volume, complex casino environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be capable of interacting with the public in a highly professional manner, including public speaking
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays

WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S
  • Basic understanding of the Casino Marketing budget process
  • Knowledge of planning and executing events and promotions
  • Ability to define business requirements for technical solutions
  • Intermediate project management skills
  • Knowledge of IGT player tracking, rewards program and special events

THE WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push carts weighing over 100 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged sitting, standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction, work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT fatigue, sound, dust, cigarette smoke, light (including flashing lights), and pet dander/hair
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and maintain physical stamina and mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
