Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

Netflix House is a first-of-its-kind, permanent, year-round home for fans where you can explore, play, taste and shop your way through your favorite Netflix stories. It's free to enter, and once inside, you can dive into activities that immerse you in your favorite titles with a mix of complimentary and paid experiences. With fresh experiences dropping regularly throughout the year, there's always a new reason to come back.

The Role

Human Resources Specialist - Netflix House

Philadelphia

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films, and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause, and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Netflix Houses are our permanent, always-on entertainment venues, where guests can step into their favorite stories and have in real life experiences. The ultimate goal is to increase Fandom for our members. We want these experiences to help promote our titles and build them into title brands or franchises so they become part of the zeitgeist for longer periods of time.

As the Human Resources Specialist for Netflix House, you'll be the on-the-floor people expert who keeps the operation running smoothly. You'll be a go-to partner for our hourly crew and frontline managers-owning high-volume recruiting, handling day-to-day employee relations, and making sure our HR systems, ticketing, and performance practices actually work in real life. By staying close to what's happening on the floor and supporting managers in the moments that matter, you'll turn the broader Netflix HR vision into a consistent, supportive, and engaging employee experience for every crew member.

What you will do:

  • Develop and lead the day-to-day HR support for our hourly crew members at Netflix House, staying close to the floor and helping create a positive, consistent employee experience.

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for hourly roles, including posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding coordination for high-volume and high-attrition positions.

  • Partner with frontline managers on staffing and scheduling needs, translating labor plans into practical headcount, hiring and staffing actions.

  • Manage day-to-day employee relations for hourly crew-handling issues like attendance, performance concerns, and interpersonal conflicts-escalating complex or high-risk matters to the HR Manager when needed.

  • Serve as a visible, approachable HR contact for crew members, answering questions, explaining policies, and connecting them to resources and support.

  • Help ensure managers consistently use our performance management tools by reminding, coaching, and supporting them in documenting feedback, coaching, and corrective actions.

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements by helping maintain accurate employment documentation, training records, and adherence to regulatory and policy standards.

  • Maintain awareness of local hiring conditions for hourly roles (talent competition, candidate expectations, wage trends, transportation challenges) and share insights with the HR Manager and site leadership.

  • In collaboration with the Training Coordinator, support onboarding for hourly crew, helping to deliver a smooth first-week experience and reinforcing expectations, culture, and ways of working.

  • Partner with the HR Manager and site leaders to bring inclusion & diversity efforts to life.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve how we recruit, onboard, communicate, and support crew-testing new ideas, using data and feedback to refine processes, and sharing what you learn.

What we need from you:

  • 5+ years of HR experience in high-volume, frontline environments such as hospitality, retail, F&B, or entertainment. Experience in the local market preferred.

  • Hands-on experience supporting hourly/crew populations, ideally in an on-site role where you're close to daily operations.

  • Proven track record managing end-to-end recruiting for hourly and shift-based roles-from sourcing and screening through offers and onboarding.

  • Solid understanding of local labor laws and regulations, and experience helping ensure compliance across employment documentation, scheduling rules, and training requirements.

  • Experience managing and maintaining Form I-9 documentation and conducting employment eligibility verification through E-Verify in accordance with federal guidelines.

  • Experience handling day-to-day employee relations issues (attendance, performance, conflict, policy questions), with good judgment on when and how to escalate.

  • Comfort using HR systems and tools (ATS, HRIS, ticketing, scheduling, performance platforms), with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Experience with Workday and Zendesk a plus.

  • Ability to use data and trends (e.g., attrition, time-to-fill, ER cases, ticket volume) to spot patterns and suggest practical improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, staying organized and calm while priorities shift.

  • A real commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace for a diverse crew, and to applying those principles in hiring and day-to-day interactions.

  • Clear, direct communication skills-both verbal and written-with the ability to connect effectively with hourly crew, supervisors, and site leadership.

  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset-you like being on the floor, solving problems, and supporting managers in real time.

  • Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset: willingness to question how things are done today and help test new ideas that can make the crew experience better.

  • Availability to support 7-day coverage across the HR team for a 365-day operation with some weekend and holiday availability.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $104,500.00 - $146,500.00.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you need an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.
