Job description

Job Description:
Hourly Rate: $20 per hour
Working Hours: 9 hours per week
The Library Assistant will assist on various projects such creating and cataloging images and videos for databases and collecting and entering data into an Electronic Resource System.
  • This position will also provide reference services and circulation desk coverage.
  • The candidate must be able to work on Friday afternoons.
  • This position is a 9 hours per week position.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Able to work on Friday afternoons
  • Experience with Adobe Suite
  • Experience with spreadsheet software (sheets, excel, etc.)
  • Background in libraries
  • Flexibility appropriate for a dynamic work setting, with desire to participate in collaborative problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to sit for long periods of time, to move books and packages, and to distinguish color.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in visual arts
  • Experience with Wordpress
  • Experience with digital asset management tools such as JStor Forum and Resource Space.
  • Experience with cataloging standards, VRA Core 4.0, CCO, the Getty Vocabularies
