Cath Lab Technicians play a critical role within the cardiovascular care team, providing direct procedural support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Core Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures
• Operate and monitor specialized imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment throughout all procedures
• Prepare the catheterization laboratory prior to each case, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, organized, and readily accessible
• Maintain accurate documentation of all procedural activities, patient data, and equipment usage in accordance with facility standards
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring the safety of patients and all clinical personnel
• Perform patient education and preparation activities before and after procedures
• Collaborate proactively with cardiologists, nurses, and support staff to maintain smooth and efficient laboratory operations
• Restock and maintain inventory of catheterization laboratory supplies and equipment between cases
• Participate in on-call rotations as required based on facility scheduling needs

• Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent certification from a recognized credentialing body
• Minimum of two years of direct hands-on experience working within a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting
• Demonstrated proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring systems and fluoroscopic imaging equipment
• Strong working knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and common interventional procedures
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, both current and valid
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage the physical demands inherent to a procedural laboratory environment
• Flexibility to accommodate varying shift schedules and participate in call rotations when necessary
