We're looking for Temporary HR Assistants who are ready to channel their inner Sailor Scout and help create a supportive environment where every employee feels empowered to succeed.
In this role, you'll help keep our seasonal hiring process running smoothly by reviewing incoming applications, assisting with basic employee questions, and keeping job postings organized and up to date. You'll also support candidates throughout the application process, using your strong communication and organizational skills to guide them every step of the way.
This position is perfect for someone who leads with empathy, communicates clearly, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. With a positive attitude and a dependable approach, you'll help ensure our workplace stays welcoming, efficient, and full of good energy-just like a team of Sailor Scouts working together to save the day.
Requirements
Schedule

  • 30-40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends
What You'll Do
  • Help support the hiring of over 1,700 seasonal 8Warehouse team members
  • Schedule, organize, and help lead group orientations and facility tours for new hires
  • Serve as a go-to resource for temporary employees by answering questions and providing support
  • Support employee relations activities, including coaching and documentation
  • Process new hire documentation, including I-9 verification, E-Verify submissions, and background checks
  • Help maintain a positive and engaging work environment during peak seasons
  • Complete and organize onboarding paperwork and employee records
  • Respond to inquiries through phone, email, and chat in a professional and timely manner
  • Review and screen seasonal job applications
  • Reach out to applicants via phone, email, or text to move them through the hiring process
  • Assist with off-site recruiting events as needed
  • Take on additional tasks to support the HR team
What We're Looking For
  • Currently working toward (or recently completed) a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or a related field (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using computers and basic tools like Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Ability to stay calm and professional in busy or high-pressure situations
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Previous experience in customer service, leadership, recruiting, or administrative work
  • Internship or hands-on experience in HR or a related field
  • Experience with onboarding processes such as I-9s, E-Verify, or background checks
