Job description

Do you like the Care Bears? We absolutely love them! They're cute and cuddly, but most importantly, they teach some amazing lessons about caring and empathy. Well, our HR team tries to take those messages to heart, and we're looking for Temporary HR Assistants who are ready to put that kind of care into serving our employees. We need someone who can support the HR team and help assist with a variety of tasks centered around aiding our employees to achieve their full potential!
Our Temporary HR Assistants are responsible for many important tasks. They monitor incoming seasonal applications and troubleshoot simple employee issues. They maintain up-to-date postings and assist the application process, so strong organizational skills and communication skills are a definite must.
If you have a strong sense of empathy and some savvy communication skills, then we'd love to have you on our HR team. And we might even give you extra bonus points if you've already figured out what Care Bear you feel the most like!
Requirements
Job Duties:
โ€ข Work between 30-40 hours/week
Helping recruit and hire over 1,000 temporary Customer Service and Warehouse staff
โ€ข Schedule, organize and conduct mass orientations and building tours for new employees
โ€ข Become a main resource for all temporary employee questions and concerns
โ€ข Schedule and conduct interviews for high potential candidates
โ€ข Assist with employee relations issues, including discipline and termination
โ€ข Help keep employee morale up during the busiest times
โ€ข Processing and filing of paperwork associated with onboarding temporary employees
โ€ข Answering the HR phone line, email, and chat
โ€ข Screening seasonal applications
โ€ข Calling, emailing, and/or texting applicants
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Requirements
โ€ข Working towards a degree in Management, Human Resources, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Sports Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or similar fields
โ€ข Exceptional communication and organizational skills
โ€ข Excellent computer skills, including familiarity and comfort using Microsoft Office Suite
โ€ข Attend off-site recruiting events
โ€ข Basic knowledge of various employment laws and best practices
โ€ข Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
โ€ข Ability to multi-task, switch priorities at a moment's notice, and possess a strong attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to make sound judgement calls quickly, confidently, and decisively
โ€ข Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
โ€ข High School diploma
โ€ข Some evening and weekend availability
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข B.A. or B.S. in Management, Human Resources, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Sports Management, Public Relations, or similar fields.
โ€ข 6 months experience training, recruiting, supervising and/or managing employees
Wage: Starting at $16.00 + increase on 09/06/2026
