Job description

Job Summary
MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL CHROME PLATING EXPERIENCE


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chrome Shop Supervisor to lead our Industrial Hard Chrome Plating and Precision Grinding operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production activities, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This leadership role requires a strong technical background in manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication, along with excellent supervisory skills to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

· Must have industrial chrome plating experience

. Inspect and record pre & post plating dimensions on all work order travelers

· Log all plating projects in chrome plating log and refer to this log “daily” to schedule plating projects (optimum plating grind stock .010”/.015”)

· Complete each work order travelers chrome sheet information for all plating projects

· Inspect all first shift setups “prior” to plating to insure they are correct

· Schedule all parts to be plated daily and communicate all work (in writing) to all shift supervisors

· Insure that all shift supervisors are signing off on all paperwork (tank amps, etc)

· Insure baths are maintained with proper temperatures, chemical balance, etc.

· Keep all records regarding tank chemistry

· Document and communicate shop maintenance schedules (from filter changing, shop cleanliness, to tank dummy scheduling) and enforce the schedule requirements as demanded by the schedules created

· Communicate all second & third shift fixtures required for projects

· Schedule all chrome shop labor force work week

· Forecast all materials required for fixture demands

· Lock downs – make sure all baths/electrical switches are off and building is locked and secure when plant is closed.

· Daily/Weekly inspection of sandblast facility

· Calibrate and inspect micrometers bi-weekly _ the same for all chrome thickness gages

· Assist and maintain any and all required ISO documentations and support the Quality Management System

Qualifications:

· At least 3 years experience in a industrial chrome plating facility

· High School diploma, GED, or minimum of 5 years chrome plating experience

· Basic computer skills
