Job description

Our client, a growing mid-sized residential real estate Management & Consulting firm is seeking a temp Financial Analyst/Bookkeeper to join their accounting team.

  • This is a 9-month temp position with possibility to extend.
  • The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9am- 5pm flexible for OT as needed with notice.
  • The position is 100% in-office.
  • The pay rate is $30.00 per hour.

 The Analyst will be responsible for analyses, preparation of budgets and other bookkeeping functions to ensure smooth functioning of Finance department operations.
Job Description:
Bank Reconciliations
• Assist in managing financial operations for property management firm specializing in condominiums and cooperatives, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Finance.
• Assist with annual audits and tax filings in addition to other financially related government filings.
• Prepare annual property budgets, incorporating forecasting, variance analysis, and managerial feedback.
• Compile and review monthly management (financial) reports.
• Draft key client deliverables, including cash flow analysis, capital planning, and ad hoc requesting.
• Assist with maintaining the general ledger and accounting setup in our property management software.
• Assist in the resolution of billing discrepancies/disputes (A/R and A/P).
• Assists data processing personnel in preparing financial reports as requested.
• Assist with Monthly Closing procedures.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in all Microsoft office programs, specifically Excel (especially VLOOKUP, IF, etc.)
• 1-2 Years of experience
• Must be able to work independently/take initiative
• Excellent communication & organizational skills
• Must be able to prioritize workload
• Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment
