Job description

Imaging Technician/ Specimen Processor

Location: Tampa, FL Duration: 4+ Months (Possible Extension/ Temp to Hire) Shift: 3rd shift Tuesday-Saturday 12am-8:30am

Job Summary: Responsible for preparing, sorting, and organizing requisitions for the scanning process in a high-volume production environment while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, sort, and route requisitions for imaging and billing workflows
  • Perform pickup and delivery of requisitions between departments
  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting prior to scanning
  • Identify and resolve issues such as missing labels, damaged pages, or incomplete attachments
  • Escalate complex issues to lead or supervisor as needed
  • Maintain accurate, legible documentation within required timeframes
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements

Skills & Requirements:

  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Understanding of lab requisition types and document handling
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in a production setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
