Job description

GFA Federal Credit Union has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced EVP/Chief Financial Officer(EVP/CFO) who will lead and partner with senior leaders to sustain their growth momentum while ensuring long-term stability and success.  
This position will be a direct report to the President/Chief Executive Officer, serving in an executive capacity and overseeing accounting, finance, treasury, wire transfers, collections, and its subsidiaries/CUSOs with a strategic mindset.  The EVP/CFO will provide expertise and guidance across all facets of financial planning and analysis, compliance, financial and accounting reporting, treasury and liquidity management, thereby creating partnerships within the scope of the role.
The new leader will bring a collaborative and engaged approach in the preparation and evaluation of budgets and capital plans, oversee month-to-month reporting of financial results to the Board and ALCO. May serve as chair of certain committee(s).  Implementing the annual financial strategic plan, with direct oversight of the budgeting process and extensive experience in annual CPA external audits and compliance, is required for this role.
A bachelor’s degree, CPA, and/or CMA professional designation is required, with an advanced degree preferred.  A minimum of seven (7)+ years of progressively responsible experience in an executive capacity with an emphasis on accounting/finance within a financial institution or a credit union with subsidiaries or CUSOs having consolidated assets of more than $500M.  Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of detail and accuracy on reporting, with the ability to develop innovative solutions within a high-performing organization.
