Job description

Voted Philly’s favorite Credit Union three years in a row by the readers of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Ardent Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative. Originally founded in 1977 by the employees of the SmithKline Corporation, Ardent is headquartered in Philadelphia, and serves the Philadelphia region and beyond.
Ardent Credit Union, with assets approaching $900 million, has an exceptional opportunity for a strategic, forward-thinking leader to become its next Chief Executive Officer!
The Board of Directors is seeking an experienced executive to sustain its growth momentum, articulate a clear vision for the organization, and enable the Credit Union to achieve its membership and asset growth goals while continuing to provide innovative product enhancements to ensure the future success of e-banking solutions.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will work in a consultative partnership with the Board of Directors and the Senior Management team to establish short and long-term goals, strategies, and plans, and to deploy potential technologies and outreach in the communities Ardent Credit Union serves.
The incoming CEO will lead and motivate efforts to advance employee engagement and develop a high-performing management team that will propel the Credit Union’s member service culture while instilling alignment with the organization's vision, mission, and core values.  A knowledge of the Credit Union’s market position and competitive advantage within its preferred strategic and operational framework is a must.  Adapting to and flourishing amid new industry, economic, and competitive realities while serving as the Ambassador to foster the brand within the community, is an essential requirement for the incoming CEO.
A business-related degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years in a related executive-level position, demonstrating a forward-thinking strategic mindset and success in execution, is required.  Experience working with Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs) and/or Mergers & Acquisitions is preferred.
