Position Summary

As a result of an upcoming retirement, North Star Community Credit Union is seeking a talented and strategic leader to join its team as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting directly to and partnering closely with the CEO, the COO provides executive leadership and oversight for the branch network, call center, back-office operations, consumer deposits and loan originations, marketing, and training and talent development. This individual will play a key role in strategic planning, organizational growth initiatives, and board reporting, while helping ensure operational strategies align with the Credit Union’s long-term goals and commitment to exceptional member service. The COO will foster collaboration across the organization and support innovation and process improvement. A bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive credit union leadership experience are required; advanced degrees and industry certifications are preferred.
