Primary Purpose:
This position plays an integral role in executing marketing and communications strategies, maintaining the Museum's public presence, and ensuring consistent messaging across digital and print platforms.
Job Category: Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience

Essential Job Functions:
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across the Museum's social media platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Develop graphics and other digital assets for social media.
  • Prepare press kits, media materials, presentation decks, and other communications collateral.
  • Coordinate event listings and calendar submissions across print and online publications.
  • Collaborate with departments throughout the Museum to gather information, promote exhibitions, programs, educational initiatives, and special events.
  • Ensure all communications materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with the Museum's brand standards.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Development of a strategic weekly content plan aligned with exhibitions, events, media posts per month.

Job Requirements:
  • Communication and writing skills as well as knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube among others required.
  • Must be able to follow instruction.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required: Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Experience:
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms for an organization or brand.
• Experience creating digital presentations and marketing materials.
