Job description

Full-time
Description
Perkins Motors
Chrysler - Dodge - Jeep - Ram - Fiat
1205 Motor City Drive,
Colorado Springs, CO 80905
WHO WE ARE:
For 80 years, Perkins Motors has been an integral part of the Colorado Springs region, and we take pride in giving back to our community. At Perkins Motors, we are committed to providing a hassle-free, stress-free environment with the one-on-one attention our customers deserve.
Our mission is to create raving fans of every customer by providing an exceptional experience in an honest and uncompromising manner.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As an Internet Sales Professional, you will be a motivated, competitive, and customer-focused professional who wants more than a traditional automotive sales position. This is not a traditional BDC or appointment-setting role.
You will not simply respond to a lead, schedule an appointment, and hand the customer off to someone else. As an Internet Sales Professional, you will own the complete customer journey-from the first online inquiry through vehicle selection, presentation, demonstration, negotiation, financing handoff, delivery, and post-sale follow-up.
You will receive opportunities from customers who are actively shopping for our new and pre-owned inventory. Your responsibility is to turn that digital interest into a genuine relationship, an exceptional buying experience, and a completed sale. You will help launch and grow this team.
WHAT ARE THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound internet leads, phone calls, text messages, emails, chats, and other digital inquiries.
  • Build trust with customers before they ever arrive at the dealership.
  • Use phone, email, text, and personalized video to answer questions and create meaningful customer engagement.
  • Identify each customer's needs, preferences, budget, trade-in situation, and purchase timeline.
  • Provide accurate information regarding vehicle availability, features, pricing, incentives, financing, and next steps.
  • Schedule, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
  • Select and prepare vehicles before the customer arrives.
  • Greet your customers and conduct a professional needs assessment.
  • Follow up with sold and unsold customers to generate repeat business, referrals, reviews, and future opportunities.
  • Maintain complete and accurate customer records, activities, appointments, notes, and follow-up tasks in DriveCentric CRM.
  • Stay current on available inventory, manufacturer programs, vehicle technology, competitive products, and dealership processes.
  • Use digital communication and social media responsibly to build relationships, develop a professional brand, and generate additional business.

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Motor Vehicle Salesperson License.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required dealership, manufacturer, compliance, and product training.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn dealership technology.
  • Availability to work a full-time retail schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and in person.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Previous automotive, internet sales, retail sales, hospitality, customer service, phone sales, or other performance-based sales experience is preferred.

Compensation: $65,000 - $135,000 based on individual and dealership performance.
WHAT WE OFFER:
  • Employee Discounts - Our employees are eligible for discounted service work and parts. We also offer special employee pricing for new and used vehicles.
  • Longevity Bonus - We value our employees and appreciate their dedication, loyalty, and contributions to our success. As a way of recognizing and rewarding long-term service, employees have the opportunity to earn an annual longevity bonus based on their years of service with the company.
  • Life Insurance Coverage - Perkins Motors pays the cost. There is no cost to the employee for the standard insurance coverage.
  • Education Benefits - Employees can enroll in online degree programs and classes. Perkins Motors pays the cost of tuition and materials. There is no cost to the employee.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term/Long-Term Disability, AD&D Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and HSA.
