Position Overview

Please note: This is a temporary role with an approximate 6-month duration.

The Production Team Member position plays an essential role in carrying out the central endeavor of Wonderstate Coffee: providing customers with exceptional, fresh coffee. Primary responsibilities include support tasks such as labeling and counting bags, efficiently and precisely filling empty bags with appropriate coffee, meticulously fulfilling orders to match invoices, and keeping all warehouse and work spaces clean and organized.


Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent, efficient and timely completion of all steps in the order fulfillment process including labeling, filling bags, fulfilling orders against invoices, inventory management, organization, and special projects.
  • Complete production start up and shut down processes efficiently and accurately each day.
  • Take inventory and ensure appropriate level of products, supplies and merchandise are staged and available each day.
  • Follow protocols for handling raw and finished goods, including meeting strict organic standards.
  • Prepare green coffee for roasting and roasted coffee for blending as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and well-organized workspace.
  • Honor relationships within the team, give and receive feedback respectfully, express gratitude to others, and actively contributes to a positive team environment
  • Exemplify the core values of Wonderstate Coffee
  • Perform tangential tasks as needed such as deliveries, roasting support, comfortable working from elevated heights, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.

  • Duration: Approximately 6 months
  • Employment Type: Temporary
  • Location: Roastery in Viroqua, WI
  • Availability: 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday - Thursday (some flexibility)
  • Schedule: 4 x 10 hour days Monday - Thursday (some flexibility)
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day, for consecutive days per week.
