Job description

Position Summary:

As an Inspection Measurement and Repair (IMR) Technician at Pentagon, you will be a vital member of our Production Team, responsible for processing parts within the IMR room according to established procedures.

**We have positions available on First Shift (6am-2:30pm) and Second Shift (2pm-10:30pm)

Please Note: This role is initially offered as a temporary position through a staffing agency. Successful candidates who demonstrate strong performance and are a good fit for the team may have the opportunity to convert to a full-time, direct employee after completing the contract period, subject to business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Inspect parts requiring IMR processing according to OEM prints and traveler instructions.
  • Measure parts using a variety of inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Input measurement data into Statistical Process Control (SPC) records and identify any non-conformances to notify supervisors.
  • Recognize and document damage to parts, particularly on critical surfaces (e.g., etched, bent, worn).
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and perform general housekeeping in the work area.
  • Understand and follow operating procedures to ensure reliable and timely processing of parts.
  • Report potential conflicts or issues clearly and professionally to management.

Your Experiences, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficient in measuring parts and reading blueprints.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and ability to identify part damage.
  • Strong math skills

Safety:

Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements.

Work Environment:

Must be able to function well in an office environment. Must also be able to work in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment. Must also be able to perform in a laboratory environment. Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position. Must be able to travel to the Pentagon Technologies Facilities in the continental US as required. Must be able to travel to Vendor and Customer facilities within the continental US as required.

Physical Demands:

Must pass Company required screening tests. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage. Should be able to pick-up 30 lbs on occasional or regular basis.
