Job description

The Seasonal Machine Operator positions include performing job tasks that require a low-skill level, knowledge, ability and comprehension value which pertains to assisting operational needs in a specialized function or multiple functions. These job positions would include depal operators, palletizer operators (with computer operation), equipment attendent, closing machine operators, tote build/fill, and other various positions that require a specific skill set.

  • Basic functional operation of plant machinery, such as operating On/Off, Speed of Control, Monitoring Machine Progress, and Keeping Machine Capacity filled, etc.
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity or filled products to standards.
  • Watch can tracks for any jam ups. Clear any jams as needed.
  • Assist Lead persons with directing other seasonal employees in completing assigned job tasks as needed.
  • Ability to follow direction given by Lead persons, Supervisors and Management.
  • Ability to work at a proficient pace, be self-directed and maintain specific job assignments throughout entire shift.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Follow all company regulations and policies as directed in Employee Orientation & Job Training, and complete all job tasks with Employee Safety as #1 priority at all times.
  • Report any Employee Safety, Food Safety and Production hazards or concerns immediately to Leadsperson, Supervisor or Management.
