Job description

Temporary Billing Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Billing Specialist to join a busy team on an approximately 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a billing professional with strong ERP and Excel experience who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment.


Position Details

Contract Length: Approximately 3 months

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: November 27, 2026

Location: Jessup, MD

Work Arrangement: Fully onsite for initial training; once fully trained, the position may transition to a partially hybrid schedule


Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of billing transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Complete approximately 60 standard billings and 10 manual billings per day
  • Process and review billing information within a large ERP system
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and issues
  • Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Apply an understanding of sales tax requirements to billing transactions
  • Utilize Excel and Microsoft Office tools to analyze and manage billing data
  • Help address and reduce the existing billing backlog
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working within established deadlines


Qualifications

  • 1โ€“3 years of billing processing experience within a large ERP system
  • SAP experience highly preferred
  • Experience working in a high-volume billing environment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, and XLOOKUP
  • Understanding of sales tax
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders
  • High school diploma required; Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred


Ability to work onsite during the initial training period and transition to a hybrid schedule once fully trained
