Position Overview

CloudRay is hiring an Automotive Floater for a reputable automotive manufacturer near Huntsville, AL. This is a hands-on position focused on body prep, sanding, bonding, and finishing work on modular boxes before paint and final assembly.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in detailed work, and is looking for steady hours with growth potential.

Job Responsibilities

โ€ข Sand and prepare modular boxes for bodywork and painting โ€ข Apply and smooth bondo compound on surfaces as needed โ€ข Grind, sand, buff, and finish repaired areas for paint preparation โ€ข Mask and tape boxes for paint and finishing operations โ€ข Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment โ€ข Assist with additional production duties as assigned

Qualifications

โ€ข No experience required โ€” automotive body shop experience is a plus โ€ข Ability to use hand tools, sanders, grinders, and buffing equipment โ€ข Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and standing โ€ข Must be able to wear respiratory protection equipment โ€ข Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions โ€ข High School Diploma or GED preferred โ€ข Must pass background check and drug screening โ€ข Closed-toe shoes required

Mondayโ€“Thursday: 7:30 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM Friday: 7:30 AM โ€“ 2:00 PM

Optional Overtime Available: โ€ข Early start at 5:00 AM โ€ข Saturdays: 7:30 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM
