Job Description:

We are seeking a highly technical Atlassian Administrator (Cloud) with deep expertise in API integrations and automation to manage and enhance our Atlassian ecosystem. This role focuses on extending Jira and Confluence capabilities through REST APIs, custom automation, marketplace applications, and enterprise system integrations.

The ideal candidate combines strong platform administration experience with hands-on technical expertise in systems integration and advanced reporting.This position may be based in San Diego, CA; Dallas, TX; or Washington, D.C.

What you'll do:
  • Administer and support Atlassian Cloud products (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence).
  • Design, configure, and optimize workflows, schemes, automation rules, and governance controls.
  • Develop and maintain REST API integrations, webhooks, and automation solutions.
  • Build and manage integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., DevOps toolchains, CI/CD platforms, identity providers, and collaboration tools).
  • Configure, manage, and support marketplace applications.
  • Administer Atlassian Access (SSO, SCIM provisioning, and security policies).
  • Design advanced dashboards, complex JQL queries, and executive-level reporting solutions.
  • Implement and maintain data synchronization strategies between Atlassian and external systems.
  • Perform system audits, health checks, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop technical documentation, standards, and integration guidelines.
  • Support cloud migrations and post-migration optimization initiatives.
Required qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Atlassian administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud environments.
  • Proven experience with Atlassian REST APIs, webhooks and automation frameworks, ScriptRunner (or similar automation tools), and integration with DevOps toolchains.Advanced knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and configurations.
  • Experience administering Atlassian Access (SSO, SCIM, and security controls).
  • Advanced JQL expertise and dashboard/report development.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience writing scripts (Python, Groovy, or similar).
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale environments (1,000+ users).
  • Familiarity with ITIL, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with advanced reporting and analytics tools such as:
  • Power BI integrations
  • Tableau integrations
  • Experience integrating Atlassian products with Microsoft Azure services (Azure DevOps, Entra ID, and CI/CD pipelines).
