Job description

How you will help

As a Rebate Analyst at HealthVerity, you will contribute your skills to support clients using our contract management platform empowering them to efficiently negotiate, execute and manage the increasing complexity of traditional rebate agreements while introducing enhanced capabilities to facilitate next generation medical rebate and value-based contract designs. You will communicate between our clients and our engineering teams on queries and requests for enhancements.

What you will do

  • Plan and schedule the necessary activities for supporting client utilization of the Smart Contracts rebate technology
  • Analyze manufacturer contract terms to ensure compatibility with rebate technology
  • Perform contract set up support as required for each rebate period
  • Assist with the coordination, analysis and validation of rebate reports and distribution of invoices for the rebate period
  • Assess, implement and communicate critical information for maintenance of rebate modules; including, contract amendments and other changes that impact the rebate process
  • Analyze and support contract disputes working with clients to ensure timely payment of rebates and admin fees
  • Research and analyze client questions related to invoiced products and corresponding rates and qualification, and provide explanation, information and interpretation within area of expertise
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and deliverables across various stakeholdersย 
  • Maintain proper records and reports to track progress of client deliverables
  • Ensure Smart Contract rebate technology user manuals and other client support resources are up to date

  • Percent of completed and on-time projects and client deliverablesย 
  • Number of complete and open client trouble tickets
  • Turnaround time for correcting contract or invoice related processing mistakes/errors or change requests
  • Accuracy and completeness of control records and contract analyses
  • Client satisfaction score measured through "Stop Light Surveys"ย 

Required skills and experience

  • Experience working within a PBM, pharmaceutical manufacturer or managed care organization; preferably PBM background, with pharmacy claims data, drug formularies, reimbursement, and pharmaceutical rebate contract experience
  • Strong understanding of the claims adjudication process and pharmaceutical manufacturer rebate contract language and terms and conditions
  • Familiarity with NCPDP field formats, 340B and payor contract reimbursement terms
  • Knowledge of pharmacy claims reimbursement (ex. WAC, ASP, AWP, discounts, rebates, admin fees, etc.)

Desired skills and experienceย 

  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with large datasets, including different healthcare data types such as: claims, enrollment, clinical, medical, pharmacy, contract and financial data from payers/providers
  • Experience with Medispan data and medical coding (ex. HCPCs)
  • Understanding of data sent to payers/providers and how to utilize it for benchmarking and measuring value-based contract performance
  • Experience building dashboards around rebates, cost, and utilization metrics of patient populations
  • Ability to assess, interpret and translate client needs into business requirements
  • Working experience with relational databases and a data visualization tool (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, Amazon QuickSight), plus knowledge of query tools

Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $60,000 - 80,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
