What is a temporary agency?

A temporary agency, also known as a temp agency or staffing agency, is a company that connects employers with workers for short-term assignments or projects. These agencies recruit, hire, and pay employees who are then assigned to work at other businesses for a set period of time. Temporary agencies help companies fill staffing gaps quickly due to seasonal needs, employee absences, or special projects. They also provide job seekers with flexible employment opportunities and a chance to gain experience in various industries.

What types of assignments and industries can I expect to work in through a temporary agency?

When you register with a temporary agency, you can expect to be placed in a variety of short-term roles across multiple industries such as administrative support, customer service, healthcare, light industrial, and finance. Assignments may range from a few days to several months, and can involve tasks like data entry, warehouse operations, or project-based work. This diversity allows you to gain experience in different work environments and build a versatile skill set, which is especially valuable if you are exploring career options or seeking flexible work arrangements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temporary agency worker, and why are they important?

Strong adaptability, communication, and reliability are standout soft skills for excelling in varied and rapidly changing environments. These skills ensure you can quickly integrate into new roles, meet employer expectations, and provide value across multiple job placements.

Classification: Non-Exempt, Temporary
Location: Embedded role in Beaverton, OR

WHO WE ARE

We are Thesis. Proudly headquartered in Portland, OR, while serving clients globally for over 20 years. Thesis is a creative agency that drives business success through marketing across technology, strategy and operations.

THE JOB

As a Digital Producer, you will be a proactive delivery lead responsible for supporting creative and strategic initiatives across multiple channels. In this role, you will sit directly with a creative team to produce multiple seasonal and seasonless campaigns and oversee end-to-end production of digital activations and deliverables for our client's North America multi-channel marketing initiatives.

Embedded with our client partners in Beaverton, OR, you will manage complex digital marketing workflows across web, email, apps, social, creators, and more. This position is multifaceted, blending operational excellence, tactical execution, and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced, North American regional market environment.

AS A PERSON, YOU ARE:
  • A Thoughtful Problem-Solver: You dive deep into understanding how processes work, showcasing your inquisitive nature.

  • A Process-Oriented Perfectionist: Your meticulous attention to detail ensures seamless operations and organization.

  • An Innovative Visionary: You think outside the box, proposing bold solutions that drive progress.

  • A Constructive Collaborator: You excel at providing and receiving feedback to foster productive teamwork.

  • A Calm Decision-Maker: You anticipate challenges and handle them confidently under pressure, trusting your instinct and expertise to know when to elevate or escalate to leadership.

  • A Proactive Self-Starter: You take ownership and accountability, driving projects forward independently and as a team in a complex matrix organization.

  • A Spin Preventer: You skillfully maintain focus and clarity across teams and client interactions.

  • A Clear Communicator: You enable collaboration by providing precise direction and fostering understanding.

  • An Adaptable Navigator: You embrace ambiguity, sourcing information to chart clear paths forward, and you have a high tolerance for change and complexity.

  • A Relationship Builder: You confidently connect with all levels of leadership across the organization.

  • A Supportive Leader: You nurture lasting, healthy relationships with teammates, clients, and beyond.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients, embedded within their team, and align with their in-office expectations.

  • Sit with a creative team to produce multiple seasonal and seasonless campaigns and oversee end-to-end production of digital activations and deliverables.

  • Provide Overall Support: Directly partner with a Creative Producer, manage external agency relationships, develop resourcing documents, and manage the onboarding of new teammates. You will provide regular maintenance to process documentation and regularly contribute to workflow improvements.

  • Drive Pre-Production Support: Review and logistically contribute to project briefs, develop holistic workback schedules, and create campaign deliverables lists. You will escalate budget or scope considerations before kickoff, initiate external agency briefings, establish creative review cadences, and own Airtable and project setup within all client tools.

  • Manage In-Production Support: Determine key stakeholders between Brand, Channel, and Creative. You will manage brief-in meetings with cross-channel partners, lead Run of Show check-in meetings, enforce client SLAs, and captain final file handoffs from agency partners. You will also intake stakeholder feedback, clarify conflicting notes, and translate creative feedback back to the creative team and external partner agencies.

  • Oversee Post-Production Support: Follow established processes to close down projects, contribute to Brand and Channel recap decks, and document key learnings for training documents and future project setup.

  • Document meeting notes, action items, and status updates while tracking tasks and internal reviews across creative and strategic teams.

AS FOR EXPERIENCE, YOU NEED:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 6 - 9 years of experience in project coordination, account management, or digital production support.

  • Proven experience working within an agency or internal creative team environment.

  • Proficiency in tools like Airtable, Asana, Smartsheet, and Keynote for managing workflows and creating impactful presentations.

  • Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration, with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams and regional leadership.

  • Expertise in solving complex challenges and managing multiple competing projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

  • A solid understanding of digital marketing channels, creative and digital workflows, and user experience principles.

  • An interest in sports and a keen focus on consumer-driven approaches.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The following capabilities are required in order to perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden on the agency are available to address these requirements.

  • Using standard office equipment, computers, and related technology.

  • Certain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.

  • Bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.

  • No travel is anticipated for this role.

  • Thesis follows our client’s in-office schedule of Monday through Thursday, with the potential requirement to be in-office on Fridays as well, in Beaverton, OR.
