Job description

Temporary Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to manage customer accounts, drive collection efforts, evaluate credit risk, and support overall accounts receivable operations in Wilsonville.

This is a full-time role that is expected to last approximately 4 months.  This company is leader in the production and distribution of pumps and controls used within the water industry.  They have been in business for over 100 years and continue to grow.  This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build positive customer relationships while effectively managing delinquent accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage collections activities for past-due accounts, including customer outreach, payment negotiations, and follow-up efforts.
  • Review customer credit applications, assess creditworthiness, and make recommendations regarding credit risk and account setup.
  • Partner with Sales and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues, disputes, and customer credit holds.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records, collection notes, and supporting documentation.
  • Process customer payments and provide support for cash application and other accounts receivable functions as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, specifically in B2B Collections experience.
  • Proven ability to manage delinquent accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Experience evaluating credit applications and making credit-related recommendations.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
