Job Description Temp Maintenance Technician Pay based on relevant feed mill or production facility experience. 6:00a-4:00p Mon-Fri, Overtime as needed, on call every other week including overnights and weekends. Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for a new opportunity? Do you enjoy working on various facilities and equipment? If so, this position is for you!! A local feed manufacturing facility in Sheldon, IA is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team! As a Maintenance Technician, you will be directly responsible for maintaining and servicing all plant equipment and buildings. Responsibilities:
  • Develop a maintenance plan timeline with includes all facility equipment, instructions, and tasks.
  • Establish and conduct regularly scheduled inspections of all equipment items IAW maintenance plan.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems in the plant.
  • Ensure adequate supply of food grade lubricants, equipment parts and tools in stock.
  • Organize and maintain operator's manuals, files, and parts lists for all equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of work performed and manpower time distribution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Adequate formal training or experience as a millwright and/or welder.
  • Strong knowledge of feed mill operations. Extensive working knowledge of shop, power/hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot electrical problems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, FSMA, and Feed & Food Safety Plan.
  • Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
  • Thorough understanding of cGMP's
