Job description

.Net/Java Developer

30 Months contract with possible of extension

Albany NY (Hybrid)

  • Type: Hybrid
  • Work Location Specifications: Consultants may be eligible to telecommute for more than 50% of their work hours, up to and including 100% remote work. Telecommuting arrangements require direct manager approval and are subject to change based on program needs. Consultants approved for 100% remote work must attend monthly in-person meetings at the Albany office and be available for major milestone meetings as needed.

Position Description/Daily Tasks and Responsibilities:

Daily activities include, but not limited to:

  • Responsibilities will include translation of the business requirement and use cases to develop enterprise applications and unit testing of same.
  • Work with the technical leads and architects to transform the high- and low-level system design into technical components.
  • Develop applications based on technical requirements, design & architecture principles & standards.
  • Produce work products and applications that reflect and ensure system design and delivery are in line with business needs and project plan.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:

1. Level II- Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as a Developer
2. 7 years' experience in utilizing a variety of technologies and frameworks to achieve project goals, adapting to new tools as necessary with hands-on experience in full stack development using .Net Framework, .Net Core, J2EE, Spring boot, Java, C# or similar modern Object-Oriented programming language, Web Services, Database, or web application development.
3. More than 5 years' experience working on complex projects including developing applications using SOA Design patterns, Microservices Containerization using Docker or OpenShift, Databases (including SQL Server, Oracle, and No SQL Databases) and Object-Relational Mapping frameworks and experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

1. More than five (5) years' experience in developing responsive web applications with DevSecOps tools and processes (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git, SonarQube) to include experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery techniques.
2. More than five (5) years' experience in implementing web applications using scripting languages such as Java Script, jQuery, Angular, React.
3. 2-3 years' experience with demonstration of solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
4. 2-3 years' experience with Test Driven Development and automated testing / unit testing frameworks.
5. 2-3 years working on an integrated eligibility system within a health and human services field.
