Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Minneapolis MN and Des Moines IA
Duration: 9 plus Months



Position Description



Looking for a solid PL/SQL developer with experience in ETL and data management. Primary goal will be to lead an effort to implement a data management strategy against an existing Oracle OLTP production database. This strategy will include deleting a large amount of data and moving large amounts of data to an archive database from our current production OLTP database. Looking for someone who can multi-task, communicate well with the team and business, do solid PL/SQL development and provide analysis and recommendations to our existing Oracle RAC based database.



Duties to include: PL/SQL script development, design data ETL processes, one time initial move and on-going yearly scripts, assess business requirements around the data retention and meet those requirements in a controlled, verifiable approach.



Required skills



Four-year college degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field and 5+ years database design and administration experience


Proficient in advance features of Oracle for PL/SQL programming and ETL development


Experience with relational databases, 5+ years' experience writing SQL (Oracle preferred).


Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills in a highly complex business and technical environment.


Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, and strong teamwork orientation


Strong experience with Oracle databases in the Financial Services Industry or Customer Relationship Management areas


Experience in working on executing the PL/SQL scripts needed for Extracting, Transacting and Loading the data for the Data cleanup and migration to long term storage solutions.


Experience in maintaining data integrity using integrity constraints and data consistency checks.


Some experience in coding database triggers for automatically updating the tables and views.


Experience in testing SQL code for performance tuning using explain plans and other technics



Description of Responsibilities



SQL Developer on a java based CRM desktop critical to our Home Mortgage Sales business line, interacting with Oracle.


Design and develop complex technical solutions that encompass data retention requirements.


Use existing client system tools and methods in implementing any solution.


Document script/process functionality for ongoing support, and assist in the development of documentation.


Provide development support and problem identification/resolution of system problems.


Perform other duties as required or assigned.
