Job Summary:
Kaimetrix is a company that delivers comprehensive IT solutions, helping organizations modernize and streamline operations. They are seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases in a secure government environment, ensuring high availability and data integrity for critical systems.
Responsibilities:
• Administer, support, and manage SQL Server databases in a production environment
• Install, configure, and support Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability Group configurations
• Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, triggers, and views to automate database maintenance and operations
• Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement tuning and optimization recommendations
• Plan, implement, and enforce database security measures to safeguard data against unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure in accordance with industry best practices and DISA STIGs
• Lead and participate in technical teams, working both independently and collaboratively
• Assign and review tasks, set priorities, track progress, and validate work products to ensure alignment with organizational goals and deadlines
• Mentor junior personnel on proper database administration practices and procedures
• Support documentation, configuration standards, and operational processes related to database services
Qualifications:
Required:
• Eight (8) years of experience in SQL database administration supporting and managing databases in a production environment
• Five (5) years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability Group configurations
• Five (5) years of experience using T-SQL, including writing scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views
• Three (3) years of experience serving as a team leader, working independently and as part of a team to assign and review tasks, set priorities, and maintain task progress
• Three (3) years of experience mentoring junior personnel on proper practices and procedures
• Three (3) years of experience planning and implementing database security measures in accordance with industry best practices and DISA STIGs
• Active TS/SCI clearance with SBI, with the ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret access
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or SQL Server 2016 / SQL Database Administration certification
• DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II / Intermediate certification
