Job description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex telecommunications, structured cabling, and data center infrastructure projects. This leadership role oversees multiple high-profile projects while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations and CCCI quality standards.

The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customers, internal leadership, and project teams, providing strategic oversight from project initiation through closeout. This position requires advanced knowledge of structured cabling systems, project estimating, resource planning, financial management, and customer relationship management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead multiple complex telecommunications, structured cabling, and data center infrastructure projects simultaneously.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring exceptional communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Review project specifications, architectural drawings, contracts, and technical documentation to develop project execution strategies.
  • Prepare and validate project scopes, labor estimates, material takeoffs, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, invoicing support, and change orders.
  • Coordinate project schedules, manpower planning, procurement activities, and resource allocation with Operations and field leadership.
  • Oversee structured cabling deployments involving copper, fiber optic, MPO/MTP systems, fusion splicing, backbone infrastructure, and related lowvoltage systems.
  • Verify Bills of Material (BOMs), pathway capacity, containment systems, and equipment requirements prior to project execution.
  • Partner with Project Superintendents and Foremen to monitor field productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance.
  • Conduct project meetings with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contract requirements, company policies, industry standards, and applicable codes.
  • Review project documentation, daily reports, schedules, testing documentation, and closeout packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Mentor Project Managers and support the development of future operational leaders.
  • Build longterm customer relationships while identifying opportunities for future business growth.
  • Maintain proficiency with project management software, CRM platforms, estimating tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Executive Leadership.
  • Minimum Qualifications-
  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 810+ years of project management experience within telecommunications, structured cabling, lowvoltage, or commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex commercial and missioncritical data center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of copper and fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling systems, and telecommunications construction.
  • Proven experience developing project estimates, labor forecasts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, change management, and project financial controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Preferred Qualifications-
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification
  • BICSI Technician, Project Management, or RCDD Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera P6, Salesforce, or comparable project management platforms.
  • Experience managing hyperscale data center or missioncritical infrastructure projects.
