Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Networking Project/Program Manager to support network infrastructure initiatives focused on low-latency content delivery services, including caching, DNS, streaming, Internet, peering, and backbone connectivity. This role is ideal for professionals with strong Project/Program Management skills and a solid understanding of networking concepts who can work cross-functionally with engineering and internal customers to translate business requirements into scalable network infrastructure programs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in ambiguous environments, managing complex dependencies, forecasting requirements, and driving programs from planning through execution.


Job: Networking Project/Program Manager II

Duration: 12 Months (Extension/Conversion possible)

Location: Arlington, VA


About the role:

We are seeking a proactive and technically oriented Project/Program Manager with 3+ years of experience to support network infrastructure and connectivity programs.

This role will work closely with internal customers, network engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, forecast future growth, develop infrastructure requirements, and coordinate the delivery of network solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Project/Program Management and networking concepts. You do not need to be an expert across every networking technology, but you should have enough technical understanding to communicate effectively with engineering teams and quickly learn new concepts.

Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, stakeholder management, problem-solving ability, and the confidence to operate in ambiguous and technically complex environments.


Key Responsibilities:

• Consolidate customer requirements, forecast growth, and translate needs into infrastructure plans.

• Partner with engineering teams to develop network designs and deployment plans.

• Manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.

• Coordinate network infrastructure, Internet, peering, and backbone connectivity initiatives.

• Provide stakeholder updates, identify blockers, and drive programs through successful execution.


Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Project/Program Management or technical project coordination experience.

• Working knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure.

• Experience partnering with engineering or technical teams.

• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage ambiguity, solve problems, and consistently deliver results.


Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

  • Project/Program Management – Strong experience managing schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
  • Networking Knowledge – Working understanding of networking, connectivity, Internet infrastructure, or related technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Coordination – Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and translate requirements into actionable plans.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Data-center infrastructure or services experience.

• Knowledge of DWDM, backbone, peering, or Internet connectivity.

• Experience with DNS, caching, CDN, or content delivery services.

• Data analysis, software, or AI experience.


Note: We’re looking for a Project/Program Manager with strong Networking knowledge—someone who can bridge PM execution and network infrastructure. Experience with data centers, backbone/peering, DNS, CDN, or connectivity projects is highly preferred.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Project/Program Management experience with networking or infrastructure knowledge and a proven ability to work with engineering teams on complex technical programs. A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $65 - $70 Hourly on W2.
