As the Manager, Telecom Expense Management, you will lead the global financial governance, inventory management, and lifecycle administration of telecommunications services across the organization. You will oversee invoice validation, contract compliance, vendor relationships, budgeting, forecasting, and expense optimization initiatives while partnering with Network Services, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders worldwide. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the financial management and governance of the global telecommunications services portfolio

  • Oversee telecom expense management processes, including invoice validation, payment approvals, dispute resolution, and cost optimization initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications contracts, pricing agreements, and vendor obligations

  • Develop and manage annual telecommunications budgets, forecasts, and expense monitoring activities

  • Establish and maintain global telecom operating models, standards, and best practices

  • Manage telecommunications inventory lifecycle activities, ensuring accurate records, asset visibility, and service accountability

  • Partner with Network Services, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and operational requirements

  • Analyze spending trends and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and service efficiency

  • Lead vendor management activities, including performance reviews, service evaluations, contract negotiations, and relationship management

  • Drive process improvements that enhance spend visibility, operational controls, reporting accuracy, and overall governance

  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics to support informed business decision-making

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members and cross-functional partners

  • Support audits, sourcing initiatives, telecommunications transitions, and service reviews across global operations


What you need to succeed:

At a minimum, you’ll need:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing telecom expense management programs, telecommunications operations, or technology financial management activities

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, expense analysis, and financial reporting

  • Knowledge of telecommunications contracts, vendor management, and service lifecycle administration

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with global stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to senior leadership


It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience supporting a global telecommunications environment

  • Experience with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platforms and reporting solutions

  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, telecommunications technologies, and carrier services

  • Experience negotiating telecommunications contracts and managing supplier relationships

  • Experience leading process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives

  • Knowledge of compliance, audit, and governance practices related to telecommunications services

  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, projects, or enterprise-wide programs
