Job description

Operations Manager – Infrastructure Deployment Services

Location: Wink, TX
Schedule: Day Shift | 4x10 Schedule
Pay Rate: $50-60/hr

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall execution, workforce management, safety compliance, and operational success of a large-scale cable deployment program supporting a hyperscale data center campus in West Texas. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for customer leadership, oversee all shift personnel, and ensure deployment milestones, quality standards, and reporting requirements are met. This leadership role will oversee approximately 40 deployment personnel across day and night shifts, including Shift Leads and Cable Deployment Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership of the deployment program and onsite workforce.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customer leadership and Apex management.
  • Manage daily operations across multiple shifts and work streams.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, attendance, and workforce planning.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate onboarding, training, and workforce readiness activities.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly operational reviews.
  • Track and report project KPIs, workforce metrics, and deployment progress.
  • Escalate and resolve operational, personnel, and customer concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, site access, and operational requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support to Shift Leads and deployment teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing large technical, construction, infrastructure, telecommunications, or deployment teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple work streams in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to lead teams across day and night operations.
  • Experience with operational reporting and KPI management.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to workforce accountability.
