Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for supporting activities relating to end-user computing such as Helpdesk (hardware, software, service ticket management), network Infrastructure(servers, active directory) and security management.
Essential Functions

  • Manage and participate in strategic projects to accomplish on-time or early project closures including upgrades, deployments, and system-wide changes, while leading other small projects.

Security

  • Manage system applications and reports to ensure all network devices are secure and properly patched (Servers, Routers, Switches, Clients, Smartphones, Tablets, Barcode readers, etc);
  • Manage and monitor advanced protection tools for devices data encryption and user multi-factor authentication;
  • Manage network penetration testing, vulnerability risks scanning, reporting and patching on servers, clients, websites, tablets, smartphones and other devices;
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and their impact to the company cybersecurity, artificial intelligence
  • Coordinate Information Security penetration tests with external partners;
  • Review, exercise and updating of the Security Incident Response plans as needed;
  • Monitor, escalate and work with IT team to mitigate security issues with end users and devices to mitigate treats and reduce risk;
  • Manage and support the creation and delivery of Security Awareness and Training throughout the organization to help raise awareness of cyber risks and prevention measures across the enterprise;

Technology Trends and Best Practices

  • Research and identify new technologies to protect data, infrastructure devices and network;
  • Lead and coach IT team for Continuous Improvement and Best Practices implementation;
  • Plan, budget, quote and organize technology upgrade/replacement roadmap

Disaster Recovery and Backups 

  • Manage local and cloud backup devices. Implement and manage data backup policy to ensure easy, fast and reliable data recovery.
  • Create and execute annual disaster recovery plan to comply with IT best practices aiming to identify improvement opportunities and fix gaps.

Licensing Control

  • Interface with IT team members to align software and application policy, standard and licensing control. Will exercise reasonable precautions to ensure that only legally obtained and approved software is installed and used on the systems connected to the network devices and perform all duties associated with this function.
  • Network Administration
  • Specify, build, administrate, support and perform all associated duties for the following systems with ease of use for users/business partners, high availability and disaster recoverability as key objectives:
    Servers - manage VMware technology (Virtual Machines), install server operational systems and configuration (Windows platform);
  • Monitor servers' performance, keep servers updated with operational systems and security patches;
  • Data storage: manage disk space, data clean up, backups; 
  • Ownership of Active Directory and Domain Controllers including Group Policy and Software Deployments;
  • Applications software installation and support approved for use at Arlon;
  • User accounts administration - user account creation, password reset, lock/unlock users;
  • Maintain backup job logs of all servers supported by the IT Infrastructure Group.
  • Network appliances: design, configure, monitor and support all network infrastructure (firewall, switches, routers). 
  • Software Applications - install, configure and support end user applications (Microsoft Platform, Client and Servers applications (browsers, corporate applications (ERP/CRM/Bolton systems), others; 
  • Email applications and Email security applications management and analysis (MS Outlook, Mimecast, etc);
  • Strict governance of ITIL standards such as Request, Incident, Change, and Problem management.
  • Enter tickets into Helpdesk database system and complete as required, maintaining strict Service Level: 90% of tickets closed within 48 hours.

Internet & Telecom 

  • Manage and monitor all sites internet and telecommunication;
  • Responsible for leading the ongoing support of the telecom infrastructure including:
  • All components of the telephone infrastructure currently in place, as defined below, and any future additions or replacements such as: 
  • Internet voice and data links;
  • The Avaya telephone systems and call recording system;
  • Call Accounting and Reporting system;
  • Will be responsible for the proper maintenance, repair coordination, and authorized adds, moves, changes to the telecom infrastructure.
  • Ensure availability of IT related supplies/purchasing, materials and equipment to provide best class system support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7 years + relevant working experience - Current knowledge of computer networks and communications systems and/or one or more years on the job experience with laptops, desktops, printers, and network devices on Windows environment is required at an advanced level, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organization, follow up and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work, as required by business needs.

Pay Transparency
The current pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 - $135,000.00/year. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
