We’re hiring an experienced Switchgear Estimator to support commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and military projects for one of Southern California’s fastest growing independent electrical distributors. This is not a giant corporate distributor buried in layers of approvals and red tape. Leadership is accessible, decisions happen quickly, and strong performers are rewarded directly through quarterly bonuses tied to profitability.

If you’ve quoted switchgear, MCC’s, panelboards, or medium voltage equipment for contractors and are tired of being boxed into a rigid corporate structure, this is the type of role worth exploring.

Compensation

  • $70,000 - $110,000+ base salary DOE
  • Quarterly bonus program targeting 15% - 20%+ additional earnings (paid out incrementally every quarter)
  • Fully remote flexibility
  • Long-term path into Project Management or senior technical leadership

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Quote low voltage and medium voltage switchgear projects.
  • Review BOM’s, one-lines, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support projects ranging from repetitive panelboard packages to complex $1M+ switchgear jobs.
  • Work directly with contractors, manufacturers, PM’s, and leadership.
  • Handle MCC’s, switchboards, panelboards, and 4,000+ Amp distribution equipment.

What we're Looking For:

  • 2-10 years' of experience with Switchgear estimating or quotations experience within electrical distribution
  • Low/Medium voltage and MCC experience required
  • Military/government project exposure is a plus
  • Eaton Gear and Bidman experience preferred
  • Someone technical, organized, responsive, and comfortable operating independently
  • Pacific Time Zone support required, preference is for PST, MST, & CST. Remote candidates welcome nationwide.

Why People Leave Competitors for us:

  • More autonomy.
  • Better visibility and influence internally.
