We are seeking a hands‑on, strategic IT Manager to lead enterprise systems implementation and IT capability development across our Texas manufacturing campus. The immediate priority for this role is leading the standup of SAP at the existing manufacturing facility — including requirements definition, configuration, data migration, validation, cutover, and post–go‑live support.

Running concurrently with the SAP program, this role will support IT planning, design, and buildout for the new manufacturing facility under development on the same campus. Because the two facilities share a single campus, the incumbent will treat them as one integrated technology environment — extending a common network backbone, shared infrastructure, and a single SAP template across both buildings rather than designing and supporting two separate site environments.

The position is employed by Otsuka ICU Medical (OIM) and provides IT support to both OIM and OCNA operations on the campus. The incumbent will need to navigate the requirements, stakeholders, and governance expectations of both organizations.

Success in this role requires the ability to deliver a demanding implementation program at an operating facility while simultaneously shaping the technology foundation of a facility under construction. The incumbent must be comfortable sequencing, prioritizing, and communicating trade‑offs between the two efforts.

• Serve as the site IT lead for the SAP implementation at the existing manufacturing facility
• Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, and Procurement stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, and translate them into system design
• Support and coordinate fit‑gap analysis, configuration, and design decisions with implementation partners and internal functional owners
• Lead site‑level data activities, including master data cleansing, mapping, migration, reconciliation, and validation
• Manage integration between SAP and existing site systems (manufacturing, quality, labeling, warehouse, and finance applications), including interface design, testing, and error handling
• Own site‑level testing execution and coordination — unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing — including defect triage and resolution tracking
• Plan and execute cutover activities, including cutover sequencing, inventory and financial period considerations, contingency planning, and business continuity during transition
• Provide hypercare and post–go‑live stabilization support; establish ongoing support model, escalation paths, and issue resolution processes
• Coordinate end‑user training, super‑user development, work instruction updates, and change management activities in partnership with functional leads and HR
• Support decommissioning or transition of legacy systems and manual processes replaced by SAP

• Serve as the primary IT owner for site business and plant‑floor technology needs at the existing facility
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure IT systems support safe, compliant, and efficient operations
• Support GxP‑regulated systems and computerized system validation activities, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, change control, periodic review, and audit and inspection readiness
• Ensure SAP and related systems meet data integrity expectations, including access controls, audit trails, electronic records and signatures, and segregation of duties
• Coordinate IT/OT integration for plant‑floor systems, manufacturing networks, equipment connectivity, and related technologies
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resiliency plans for critical manufacturing and enterprise systems

• Serve as the IT representative on the new facility project team, supporting design reviews, construction coordination, commissioning, and startup readiness activities
• Define and support execution of IT infrastructure scope for the new building, including network architecture, wireless coverage, network and server rooms, structured cabling, end‑user technology, printers and label printers, telecom, conference rooms, and plant‑floor connectivity
• Design the new building as an extension of the existing campus network rather than a standalone site — including inter‑building fiber and pathway requirements, campus core and distribution architecture, IP addressing and VLAN strategy, wireless controller coverage, and redundancy between buildings
• Identify opportunities to leverage shared campus infrastructure across both buildings (core network, server room capacity, backup targets, telecom, licensing, and support tooling) to avoid duplicated cost and administrative overhead
• Ensure SAP design and configuration for the new facility extends the template established at the existing facility, minimizing divergence, rework, and parallel master data structures
• Support planning for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other plant‑floor system requirements, including integration points with SAP
• Coordinate IT scope with construction, project engineering, and general contractor schedules, including pathway and rough‑in deadlines that must be met before walls close
• Develop IT readiness plans, milestone schedules, and dependency tracking aligned to facility commissioning and startup timelines
• Extend backup, disaster recovery, and support models to cover the new building prior to startup, accounting for shared campus dependencies and single points of failure

• Effectively utilize Otsuka Group’s common IT and security services, and manage IT and security in accordance with Otsuka Global Policies
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure (network, servers, cloud environments, end‑user systems) across the campus
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices that apply consistently across both buildings and both supported entities
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity planning accounts for the shared‑campus footprint, including off‑campus recovery capability for systems where both buildings depend on common infrastructure

• Identify, select, and manage third‑party IT vendors, implementation partners, and service providers
• Manage implementation partner scope, deliverables, timelines, and quality of work on the SAP program
• Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
• Coordinate external resources across concurrent projects and ongoing support

• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls
• Ensure protection of company data, systems, and networks from internal and external threats
• Manage risk assessments, incident response, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Ensure security requirements are embedded in SAP design and in new facility infrastructure design from the outset

• Build a scalable campus IT roadmap aligned with business growth plans across both facilities
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements
• Prepare for future team expansion, including defining roles and organizational structure
• Own IT budgeting, forecasting, procurement, license management, and capital planning for infrastructure, applications, and support services, including appropriate cost allocation between supported entities

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 5–8+ years of progressive IT experience, including enterprise systems implementation and infrastructure
• Required: direct, hands‑on participation in at least one full‑lifecycle SAP implementation, including requirements, configuration support, data migration, testing, cutover, and post–go‑live support
• Working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing context, including core manufacturing and supply chain processes (production, inventory, warehouse, procurement, order‑to‑cash) and how they are represented in the system
• Experience supporting multiple business units, legal entities, or stakeholder groups from a single IT function
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (networking, cloud platforms, servers, security)
• Experience with enterprise systems integration and deployment
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing timelines and to prioritize transparently among them
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to translate between business and technical audiences
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a hands‑on environment

• Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other GxP‑regulated manufacturing
• Experience with computerized system validation and data integrity requirements (21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, or equivalent)
• Experience with MES implementation or MES/SAP integration
• Experience supporting IT scope on a greenfield or major capital facility project
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)

• This is largely a sedentary role, performed primarily in a professional office environment using standard office equipment
• Regular presence in manufacturing, warehouse, and plant‑floor areas is required; appropriate gowning and personal protective equipment may be necessary in controlled areas
• Both facilities are located on the same campus; the role moves regularly between buildings on foot. No significant business travel is anticipated
• Periodic presence in active construction areas is required during the new facility project; site‑specific safety training and personal protective equipment will apply
• Extended hours and occasional weekend work should be anticipated during critical SAP program phases, including testing, cutover, and go‑live
