Summary:

  • Perform engineering calculations and design using specialized technical skills, experience and engineering judgment to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Provide the scheduling, budgeting, design assistance, quality control and supervision of Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians during the planning, design and construction of typical engineering projects such as roads, utilities, residential and commercial projects and school.
  • Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants and firm staff.
  • Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for incorporation into the construction drawings.


Essential Duties:

  • Office Administration - Including but not limited to review of scope & services, preparation of survey work requests, calculations checks
  • Training & Team Building - Including but not limited to establishment of project teams, management and evaluation of staff, on-the-job coaching and training
  • Project Management - Including but not limited to meeting client expectations, ensuring accurate work products, monitoring resource needs and budgets, ensuring responsiveness
  • Professional Development - Including but not limited to seeking active , technical and managerial training and involvement in professional organizations
  • Business Development & Marketing - Including but not limited to seeking and communicating potential new business leads, communicate expertise of firm to potential or existing clients, proactively meeting with key clients to discuss projects/performance and other business opportunities.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 5+ years of experience in land development, public works or water resources; all preferred.
  • Professional engineering license and AutoCAD experience also required.
