SEACORP is seeking a well-qualifiedSystems Engineer II.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary :SEACORP'sCombat Systems Business Area is seeking an Integrated Logistics professionalfor the Payload Control System of the BYG-1 program. The PCS ILS Professional -Submarine Combat Systems, will be responsible for developing technicaldocumentation, creating and maintaining schedules, reviewing documentation fortechnical accuracy, usability, and fleet relevance of submarine technicaldocumentation.

Job ResponsibilitiesInclude:

  • Participate in feature design reviews and implementation demonstrations.
  • Provide feedback on the operational impacts of new features to softwaredevelopers, systems engineers and testers.
  • Develop, review, validate, and provide detailed feedback on IETM content,structure, and accuracy.
  • Ensure IETMs are technically aligned with PCS system architecture,configuration, and operational behavior.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and government stakeholders toresolve discrepancies and ensure content completeness.
  • Translate complex system information into accessible content suitable forend-user understanding (fleet maintainers, operators, and technicians).
  • Develop and maintain a schedule to meet all BYG-1 delivery milestones.
  • Provide technical input on procedures, troubleshooting steps, preventivemaintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs), configuration controlboards (CCBs), and documentation review boards.

Qualifications:

Education: Associateโ€™sor bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a relatedtechnical field (preferred but not required). Equivalent military training andexperience may be substituted.

Experience :3+years of experience with U.S. Navy submarine systems, preferably in combatsystems.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Deepunderstanding of BYG-1 and PCS
  • Experience with IETMs, technical manuals, or maintenance documentation in a DoDor Navy context.
  • Familiarity with Navy maintenance philosophies and procedures (e.g.,troubleshooting logic).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in reviewing technical diagrams, system schematics, and interfacedocumentation.
  • Isolation of software and hardware problems and implementation of fixes.
  • Experience participating in Test Events and System Assessments.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • Former U.S. Navy Fire Control Technician (FT) or SONAR Technician withexperience on Virginia, Seawolf, Ohio, or 688-classsubmarines.Or experience as a BYG-1/SWFTS Systems or Test Engineer.
  • Familiarity with Navy logistics systems such as CDMD-OA, TDMIS, or SCLSIS.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
