Sr. Manager, Engineering (Platform)
We are seeking a hands-on engineering leader to drive the development and operation of our carrier-grade telecom platform and APIs. This role will lead high-performing teams building scalable, real-time communication systems integrated with global carrier networks.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and grow engineering teams delivering telecom platform services and APIs.
  • Build and operate high-throughput, real-time communication systems (SIP, SMS/MMS, IMS) at carrier scale.
  • Own end-to-end API development, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Drive architecture for distributed systems with a focus on reliability, latency, and fault tolerance.
  • Oversee cloud deployment, CI/CD, and runtime operations with strong observability and incident response practices.
  • Partner with Product, SRE, and external telecom providers to align roadmaps and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and engineering excellence.

What You Bring
  • 8 to 10 years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years leading teams.
  • Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems and high-availability APIs.
  • Background in telecom, real-time communications, or enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom protocols (SIP, IMS, SMS/MMS) and carrier integrations.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with distributed messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Redis).
  • Proficiency in backend technologies such as Golang, C/C++, Node.js, or Ruby.
  • Strong understanding of system reliability, performance optimization, and observability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
