Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP certification
  • 5 years of project/program management experience.
  • Experience managing telecommunications, network, and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong vendor management experience.
  • Experience with VoIP, networking, wireless technologies, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Assist in enterprise-wide infrastructure initiatives.
  • Coordinate network integration projects.
  • Support agency strategic technology initiatives.
 
Position Summary
 
  • The Telecommunications Solutions Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing enterprise telecommunications, network, voice, mobility, audiovisual, and infrastructure projects across facilities.
  • This role manages vendor coordination, technology modernization initiatives, implementation activities, and strategic infrastructure planning to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions aligned with agency objectives.
  • Under supervision, applies project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in supporting project leads.
  • Drives the development and application of project management methodology and culture.
Key Responsibilities
  • Telecommunications, network, infrastructure, and voice modernization projects.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
  • Coordinate project activities across facilities and stakeholders.
  • Provide project status reporting to leadership.
  • Infrastructure Modernization
  • Develop and manage infrastructure upgrade roadmaps for:
  • Voice Services (VoIP/HVS)
  • Data Networks
  • Wireless Infrastructure
  • Fiber and Structured Cabling
  • Public Address Systems
  • HVAC Monitoring Systems
  • Fire Alarm Infrastructure
  • Cisco Endpoint Refresh Programs
  • Support implementation of emerging technologies and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Telecommunications & Voice Services
  • HVS/VoIP transformation initiatives.
  • Develop implementation strategies for voice modernization projects.
  • Coordinate site assessments, inventory reviews, equipment staging, deployment, and migration activities.
  • Ensure successful transition from legacy voice platforms.
Vendor & Contract Management
  • Maintain partnerships with telecommunications carriers and technology vendors.
  • Coordinate vendor deliverables and project commitments.
  • Participate in technology evaluations and vendor selection processes.
  • Monitor vendor performance and contractual obligations.
  • Asset & Infrastructure
  • Oversee inventory management and reconciliation efforts.
  • Ensure infrastructure assets are properly documented in Asset Management systems.
