Job description

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced IT Project Manager for our client, a provider of managed network services and enterprise communication solutions. This is a direct hire role based out of Portland, Oregon.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The IT Project Manager will lead the delivery of client-facing cloud voice, contact center, and technology migration projects . This is a hands-on project delivery role responsible for managing multiple concurrent client engagements from initial planning and scheduling through implementation, migration, cutover, and project completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of client-facing technology implementations, migrations, and deployments.
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 8-15 active projects simultaneously, with projects ranging from shorter implementations to complex engagements lasting six months to a year.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing clear communication around timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and project status.
  • Lead cloud voice, contact center, UCaaS, and related technology migration projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal technical resources and ensure engineering and delivery teams have the information, access, and direction needed to complete project work.
  • Manage relationships and dependencies across third-party vendors, technology partners, telecom carriers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate carrier orders, installations, scheduling, and other external dependencies that may impact project timelines.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, client communications, and internal project discussions.
  • Coordinate migration and cutover activities, including occasional implementations that may take place outside standard business hours.
  • Maintain accurate project and client information within CRM, PSA, and project management systems.
  • Support multi-site deployments and coordinate implementation activities across multiple client locations when applicable.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-moving professional services environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of technology project management experience, ideally managing external client implementations, migrations, or deployments.
  • Active PMP certification in good standing or a directly comparable credential such as PgMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple technology projects simultaneously, ideally carrying 8-15+ active client projects at a time.
  • Experience working within an MSP, VAR, systems integrator, telecom carrier, manufacturer professional services organization, or comparable client-service environment.
  • Strong experience with cloud voice, VoIP, UCaaS, and/or cloud contact center technologies.
  • Working technical knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, SD-WAN, and related infrastructure.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to serve as the face of the organization to clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple third-party vendors and external project dependencies.
  • Experience working within a CRM, PSA, or comparable project management platform; ConnectWise experience is highly valued.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This direct hire position offers a salary range of $110,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience. They offer a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with additional perks.
